Poet Victor Hernández Cruz will read from his new book, Guayacán (the name of the trees in Puerto Rico, which takes hundreds of ears to reach full size). Dr. Frances Aparicio will introduce Hernández Cruz and discuss his work. The program will conclude with a performance by New Andalucia, whose music evokes the Iberian Peninsula's fusion of cultures.
